Featherweight T Bridge & Saddles
Massive Tone without the Mass! We’ve been testing and experimenting with Titanium alloys to come up with the lightest, most resonate T Bridge for your Telecaster-style guitar build.
Drilled for the vintage 4-hole 2.55″ mounting pattern, our Featherweight T Bridge includes a set of compensated Titanium barrel saddles. The bridge plates measures about 3-1/8″ wide, 3-17/32″ long and 3/8″ tall. Each comes with stainless steel mounting screws, adjuster screws and springs.
We make these in house, right here in rockin’ Indiana, USA, out of .032″ 6Al-4V Titanium. This aerospace Grade 5 alloy is twice as strong as the medical Grade 2 Titanium you might see elsewhere. Our Featherweight T Bridge Plate alone weighs in at an amazing 0.8oz, and ONLY 1.45oz with the Titanium Saddles as shown! Compare that to a vintage Ash Tray Tele bridge alone at 2.3oz or a modern MIM bridge at 4.5oz!
Titanium is impervious to salt water and can be substituted for stainless steel, with a 200% strength improvement. Compared to 6061 aluminum, titanium is about 60% more dense but twice as strong. In addition, titanium is also biocompatible (it is non-toxic and is not rejected by the body), which makes it a good choice for jewelry or body piercings for people with allergies.
