RockRabbit BarnSpecial Basic Bitch Guitar
Time to clean some of the guitar show display models off the office wall!
If you’ve been to our guitar show booth in the last few years, you’ve probably already played this guitar. It’s one of our first Basic Bitch guitars and it’s gone through a couple of different sets of pickups and a neck upgrade. It’s not only a beautiful iteration of a barncaster, but it’s also lightweight and balanced. The Bare Knuckle pickups, titanium hardware and pine are really a killer tone combo!
Reclaimed Barn Pine
The body is solid 150-year roasted pine that’s SUPER light and resonate with that great midrange tone. It comes with all the cool barn character- knots and all. The barn was so old that you can see the original barn spikes were square, like a blacksmith makes, instead of a more modern, round nail. Finishing such a cool wood is simple- just mix up some satin nitro lacquer and rub it out.
Compensated Titanium Saddles
This was one of the guitars used for prototyping our Titanium Compensated Saddles. This Basic Bitch also sports the usual RockRabbit titanium components- bridge, string ferrules, jack cup, 4-way angled control plate. But we also made a special pickguard for this. It’s 7075 T-6 aluminum that was coated with and baked on a ceramic Cerakote coating. It’s tough and thin for firearms, plus it really looks like Bakelite.

Made in Indiana, not Indonesia
Why buy RockRabbit?
RockRabbit Guitars proudly crafts Basic Bitch guitars along with the best guitar hardware for musicians, boutique guitar builders and OEMs. Using American aircraft-grade materials, we machine premium guitar parts like titanium bridges and saddles, neck, and control plates that are ergonomically designed for maximum tone and playability.
It started in Valparaiso, Indiana in 2014 with the idea that America used to build things. Things that people actually wanted because they were smartly designed and built by craftsmen who cared. The past isn’t coming back, but RockRabbit believes that it can use all the technology available to make ‘Made in America’ viable in a global market. We are honored to have shipped American guitars and custom hardware to guitarists and builders in over 30 countries.
